12 THINGS I LOVED IN 2019

12 THINGS I LOVED IN 2019

As 2019 comes to an end I wanted to take a look back and share with you 12 things I loved this past year! Enjoy!

  1. GABBY BERNSTEIN

I was introduced to Gabby about 3 years ago and she truly changed my life! I have read every single one of her books AND went and saw her in person for two of her book tours . This year Gabby published her book Super Attractor along with a Super Attractor Journal and a Super Attractor Inspirational Card Deck to go along with it. I feel like her latest book really helped me let go of some things from my past and it prepared me for everything that is coming my way in 2020.

2. FLOWERS

After my accident last year I received so many flowers from all my friends and family. When I stopped receiving them I decided to just treat myself every Sunday to a fresh bouquet of flowers for my apartment. I was never a huge fan of flowers (not sure why), maybe because I never had the boyfriend in my twenties to buy them for me but then I truly realized this past year that my happiness shouldn’t be controlled and manipulated by others. I wanted to create my own happiness. So…I started buying flowers for myself! Treat yo self!

3. TRADER JOES

Is it just me or does it feel like Trader Joes really stepped their game up this year? I have always been a HUGE FAN of TJ’s but I swear something this year just really stood out to me. From the beauty products, to the new trendy food products, and even the pet section products. ALL OF IT! For the first time in a long time I really felt no need to go to multiple grocery stores in one day for all my needs. Trader Joes for the WIN!

4. THE WELL JOURNAL: A 12 WEEK GUIDE TO WELLNESS

I discovered this journal on Instagram and decided to give it a whirl when I was looking to detox 12 weeks before my best friend’s wedding. I have found over the years that I am most successful when it comes to staying on track with my health and fitness goals when I write EVERYTHING DOWN, so needless to say this journal was the perfect supplement to my detox. Highly recommend!

5. EXPERIENCING NEW PLACES

Between my job, my time off, and many of my friend’s weddings, this year I was fortunate enough to visit some new places! Of those were New Orleans, Dallas, Nashville, Honolulu, and Australia. I hate to pack my bags but I love to travel so it should come as no surprise that travel is going to be on my 2020 vision board in the biggest letters imaginable!

6. SAMPLE SALES

This year two highlight sample sales that I went to were Good American and Ban.do. I like to splurge at these sample sales because I don’t shop often throughout the year for myself so in this case I get a way bigger bang for my buck! In LA I am subscribed to the Eclipse Newsletter which keeps me up-to-date on upcoming sample sales. If you do some research, more than likely there are websites available to find out about sample sales in major cities near you!

7. ROAD TRIPPING

Every year I do my best to complete a road trip of some sort! I love time in the car to clear my mind and have fun stopping along the way. This year my sister and myself did a road trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco with many stops and stays in between. Check out the full blog post here.

8. MY JOBS

This year was definitely a career highlight for me. I worked on two shows that I absolutely loved. These shows included β€œRevenge Body” With KhloΓ© Kardashian and the Facebook Watch Series β€œBall in the Family” starring NBA player Lonzo Ball and his fam. I felt like I grew so much as a Producer and really got my feet wet in the world of reality tv. I can’t wait to see what will come next in my career for 2020! A promotion maybe?

9. THE PALM SPRINGS VINTAGE MARKET

Easily my #1 thing to do in Palm Springs. In fact I could go as far as to say the Vintage Market is one of my favorite things to do in all of California. This is a market the 1st Sunday of the month (not during the summer) that sells all vintage! There are always so many good treasures and finds! I especially love when I get my hands on a piece of Old Hollywood. Half of my apartment furniture/decorations came from there! There is a small admission fee to shop around but WELL WORTH IT!

10. SIGNS & SYNCHRONICITIES FROM THE UNIVERSE

This year was all about signs for me! Whether it was asking the Universe to show me a cardinal or seeing my numbers 11:11 over and over, I truly felt like I was being guided this year. I felt like 2019 truly prepared me for something really big that is in store for me in 2020! I even went to the extremes of getting 1111 tattooed on me on November 11th (11/11) when I was on a work trip in New Orleans! Let’s keep this going Universe!

11. WINE

Does this officially mean I am old? You guys I just bought a wine membership so that I could A. enjoy the wine and B. get extra Southwest mileage points. LOL! Fine I am almost 30 clearly! But in all seriousness this year I cut back drastically on the hard liquor and tequila shots at the bar. I do NOT miss those hangovers. I am all about the glass of red wine though! I also LOVE wineries and tasting rooms! My all-time favorite is Rosenthal Wines on the PCH in Malibu but other favorites include: Malibu Wines (tasting room and safari), any and all wineries in Napa especially Rutherford and Goosecross, and I will admit I went to the castle in Napa last month and enjoyed that too, and last but not least, the tasting rooms in the funk zone in Santa Barbara.

12. WORKING ON HEALING MY MIND, HEART, AND BODY

2018 was the toughest year of my life and honestly it leaked into early 2019 as well. I made the conscious decision this year to take time off of work, 4 months to be exact, to really focus on healing my mind and body. I was tired and suffered major post traumatic stress from my accident and last year and I jumped into a job that I didn’t want to miss an opportunity on, even though I knew my mind and body were not ready. I really needed the rest. I needed that time to not set alarms, sleep in, go on walks, breathe the fresh air outside, journal, blog, read, watch Netflix, and travel. I needed some time to myself. This year I learned the importance of really taking care of yourself, saying no when you need to, and saying yes to new experiences and opportunities where you see fit.

Cheers to 2020 and all the big things the Universe has in store for both you and me!

XoXo,

Brittney
