JUMPING FITNESS REVIEW: HOW TO SPRING INTO SHAPE THIS SUMMER

Welcome to JUMPING FITNESS! In this unique studio you won't find your average treadmills and ellipticals, but instead you will walk into a room filled with trampolines! So FUN right? AND believe it or not it is the ONLY STUDIO of it's kind in the entire U.S.! Studios across the country have incorporated this concept into some of their workout classes but Jumping Fitness, located in Redondo Beach, is the only place whose classes use the trampoline as it's main focus for all it's classes. This concept began 15 years ago in the Czech Republic and since then has expanded to more than 50 countries on 4 continents. Pretty Incredible!

I went into Jumping Fitness pretty blindly so I really had no idea what to expect! To be completely honest I wasn't expecting to break a sweat by any means, I mean I had been on a trampoline before and it always felt like you jump then you feel an amazing breeze that comes along with it afterwards. WRONG! WOW was I wrong! After 5 minutes in and our warm-up complete, my friend Cat and I looked at each other and we were both drenched in sweat, not to mention half of my water bottle was already empty. Take a look below and see just how intense our workout really was! And keep in my mind the class is 55 minutes long with 5 minutes to stretch and wind down! 

This is just a small taste of what a class at Jumping Fitness consists of! Be ready to break a serious sweat, be challenged, and laugh & enjoy yourself at this one of a kind studio!

RECAP 

This particular class called Jumping Party exceeded my expectations. I would 100% categorize this workout as very high intensity but very low impact. Benefits of this workout include improving coordination and stability, core strengthening, and reducing body fat. I highly recommend trampoline workouts especially if you have any knee issues of any sort. I also recommend Jumping Fitness if you are looking for a new, fun, way to get into shape without feeling like you are even working out! We were having so much FUN dancing on the trampoline to amazing music that in no time the class was complete, we were completely exhausted, and believe me when I say the next day I was SO SORE!  My instructor Jakub was absolutely amazing and so incredibly helpful! Two other instructors were part of my class, Trina and Jennifer, and they made my friend and I feel so comfortable and stayed after class to make a fun video and chat more about fitness and how we liked the class! Such friendly company!

CLASSES THEY OFFER 

At Jumping Fitness your FIRST CLASS IS FREE! To sign up simply download the MINDBODY APP if you don't already have it and book any class they have available. Here is a list of all the classes they have to offer: 

  • JUMPING FITNESS
    • The original, most famous program. Very intense cardio with a strengthening portion at the end of the class. Burn up to 1,000 calories in one class!
  • JUMPING PARTY  (Video Above)
    • Combo of the original Jumping Fitness program and easy to follow dance routines. Jump to different rhythms like latin pop and rock n'roll and learn spunky, fun choreography!  
  • JUMPING INTERVAL
    • Combo of Jumping and HITT (High Intensity Interval Training) strengthening. This class incorporates different equipment such as sandbags & kettlebells. Perfect mix of strength and cardio training! 
  • JUMPING BOOTCAMP
    • This is one tough training sesh! Jumping warmup, followed by 2 rounds of touch circuit training to some intense jumping music! This one sounds like a challenge!

So you try a class and then you are hooked? That is great because Jumping Fitness offers a 10 pack of classes for $55 and you have 9 months to use them all up for new and existing clients! What if you are a classpasser? Even better! Jumping Fitness is featured on Classpass too! The studio location is  2221 Artesia Blvd., Redondo Beach, 90278 and there is FREE PARKING behind the studio. The parking is limited but you should plan to arrive to your first class a little early to get some more information and sign a waiver, so you shouldn't have any problems!
